Where else can you go to India.

India is a huge country. For one trip there it is impossible to cover all its open spaces.
I will talk about the places where I visited myself or my friends, who shared their impressions and photos.

Actually in India it is interesting – everything. Unless of course, you do not prefer just a beach holiday, but are open to travel and adventure. The main attractions for you will be the life of the indigenous people and the architecture of buildings. No less interesting are the customs and habits of the local population.

Mela, Allahabad

One of the right places to travel is New Delhi. This is the capital of India and for any traveler the path lies through it. Especially if you consider that all transport communication passes through the capital. In addition, it is better to buy all souvenirs in New Delhi.

From New Delhi, you can continue your journey east or south. The most common route is the next departure to GOA. But in the southern direction, there is also a wonderful state of Rajasthan with its architecture. He has his own unique color and this is the place where you can see with your own eyes elephants and other animals that can be seen in our strip only in the zoo.

For those who go to the South and do not want to have extreme sports in large quantities, you can visit Mumbai. There, you can spend a few days in viewing local sights, about which there is quite a lot on the Internet. But seeing with your own eyes is not the same thing. The main thing is to plan the route so as not to get lost in the huge stone jungle, which from modern buildings quickly become slums.

The most extreme direction in India is the south-east direction from New Delhi.

Of course, to see the Taj Mahal is not an extreme. But today it is not exotic. This is already a popular tourist route. But Varanasi (Benares) – this is a more extreme direction. A city that is valuable to all of India as a religious center. This is the most sacred place in India. One of the main main aspects is the worship of the Ganges. A river that by faith washes away all sins. A huge number of people in India and not only seek to die and be burned on the banks of the Ganges. The services that are held on the beach every evening are very unusual and colorful. And for those with strong nerves – you can visit the manikarnik – the place of ritual burning of the bodies of the dead. Just pay attention to the manicure – you can not take pictures. That is why you can hardly find reliable photos from this place.

Near Varanasi, be sure to visit museums and excavations. There you can see a piece of even more ancient India. And also the place of the first sermon of the Buddha.

Sights of India

Another place of great importance in the culture of India is Allahabad. The city itself is like a city. By the time of his visit, you are already accustomed to the architecture that you can observe there. But right next to this city is the place of confluence of two visible and one (according to giving) invisible river. At this place, every year there is religious pilgrimage from all over India. The name of this event is Mela. Once in 12 years, Kumkha Mela takes place, indicating the completion of the 12-year cycle and the beginning of a new one. And once in 144, Maha Kumha Mela takes place. That year was 2013.
