Excursion to Delhi: Yoga tour for health and joy from Delhi to Khajuraho

Dear tourists, if you fly to India and want to understand why Delhi is called the City of Contrasts, the white Taj Mahal is the Eighth Wonder of the World, Jaipur is the Pink City, and the ancient temples in Khajuraho are the Temples of the Kama Sutra … and you want to do it differently than anything else and that the memories remain for life !? Then we have a new kind of active recreation for you! Excursion program combined with yoga classes.

For 9 days we travel in the company of cheerful people, a sociable Russian-speaking guide and an experienced yoga teacher. We get acquainted with the history of India, visit ancient palaces and forts, tombs and temples, which are breathtaking, national parks with untouched nature, comprehend the wisdom and knowledge of yogis, thereby calming the mind and healing the body. Truly a rest for body, mind and soul !!!

In the tour program:

• daily yoga classes will improve the work of all body systems, develop flexibility and increase muscle tone (theory and practice, asanas, mantras, mudras)

• acupressure to cleanse the body, improve the functioning of internal organs, relieve pain

Overnight in Delhi.

Day 1: Delhi
Breakfast in the hotel. Then we will visit the most beautiful and famous places of this amazing city: the Aksharhdam temple is the most magnificent Hindu temple in the world, which is listed in the Guinness Book of Records, it really impresses with its size, luxury and beauty; Gurudwara Bangla Sahb – Sikh temple (it is the largest in Delhi) The main building is completely made of marble and decorated with golden domes; Lakshmi Narayan temple is one of the most sacred places, pilgrims come here from all over the country; an unusual, but certainly incredibly beautiful snow-white temple of the Lotus (the temple of all religions), as well as the laundry of Dhobi Ghat, where it is still washed according to the old method. We will see the most ancient place of the city, preserved until now the minaret of Qutub Minar.

On the same day, we will have a sightseeing tour of Delhi streets: the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid Mosque, the old city, the Thieves Market and the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Park, the India Gate and the Presidential Palace.

Meeting with a yoga teacher: acquaintance, definition of individual goals and common goals for the whole course.

Day 2: Delhi-Jaipur
At dawn, yoga class.
After breakfast at the hotel we are waiting for the transfer to Jaipur, this is one of the brightest cities of medieval India – the “pink city” (230 km).

After lunch we arrive in Jaipur. We are met by “Pink City”, “City of Kings”!

In the evening, a colorful open-air dinner with national dances, we will get acquainted with Indian cuisine, we will learn how real cakes are prepared (the basis of Indian cuisine). If you wish, try to do it yourself.

Day 3: Jaipur
Morning lesson. Yoga
After breakfast, an elephant ride to the historic Amber Fort awaits us. The tour will begin on the shores of Lake Maota, each tourist will feel like an honored guest climbing an elephant and driving through the main gate of the fortress. Also visit the City Palace, which is spread over a vast territory. The site of the City Palace was turned into a museum. You should also visit the observatory, the Palace of the Winds and the “Water Palace” of Jal Mahal.

Day 4: Jaipur-Agra
Morning yoga
After breakfast at the hotel we leave Jaipur and go to the legendary Agra, the capital of the Great Moguls. Moving to Agra is 235 km. On the way we must visit the picturesque temple complex of Galta, where sacred, healing springs are located. It is located in the gorge of the mountains and the temples here are known for their frescoes. These places have become a haven for a huge number of monkeys, which can be fed directly from the hands.

And we will stop in the village of Abhaneri, where the country’s oldest well is located, it was built in the 9th century and has a very interesting history. Nearby is an ancient Hindu temple.

In the evening we stay in Agra, which is more than 500 years old.

Day 5: Agra
Early in the morning after breakfast visit the Taj Mahal mausoleum.
Truly majestic, divine, radiant and, despite its height, such a light and airy Taj Mahal is considered to be the “pearl of Mughal style architecture”. Then we are waiting for a visit to the ancient Red Fort. The Red Fort in Agra is the story of three generations of the Great Mughal; it is the story of cruel wars, tremendous love, the struggle for power and the fall of the great Empire.
